Chicken Julie is good people. I met her with her LAMQG (that’s L.A. Modern Quilt Guild) posse two years ago at the Long Beach Quilt Festival where I was introducing my brand. We all bonded– Julie, Ramona (who you’ll meet in a few days), and Tess. We got along famously.
I blogged about Julie’s quilt for Quilts for Kids here. Like I said, she’s good people. When I asked my L.A. posse if they wanted to sew with COLLAGE, Julie said yes, and proceeded to make a kick ass quilt in record speed. I cried when I saw it. (She used the awesome Simply Woven Quilt Tutorial by Jessica Kelly at SewCraftyJess.) It amazes me how beautifully this quilt showcases almost the entire line of COLLAGE. And then she kept sewing. She also made the adorable pillow using my Giggle & Squeak pattern.
Julie is one of those inspiring people who cans some jam, whips out a beet and arugula salad, then takes her kids to the beach with a basket of fresh scones all on the same day. (I know that because of instagram.) I often wonder how people do so much stuff. I am lucky to clean my toilets and get to yoga, let alone make charity quilts and fresh jam. 🙂 Go check out her blog here and enter her giveaway to get a Layer Cake (10″ squares) of the entire range of Collage! Also, check out her etsy shop here. She makes some really cool reusable Lunchbox Napkins.

Big, heartfelt, long-distance hugs to you, my friend. Congratulations on this gorgeous line.
I love your Giggle and Squeak pattern! This is a great collection too.
I like this one, too! I’m just loving your new fabric line! It’s just my style!
This is adorable! Really makes the collection shine.
She did such a great job showcasing almost all the prints in Collage and how amazing the prints work well together! Both the quilt and the pillow are amazing!
