Today my two aspiring sewist pupils finished their A-line, elastic waist skirts at our tiny sewing school (earlier post here). We used the My Very Own Skirt pattern in the awesome Sewing School book. The work took two sessions—about four hours total—but it was worth the wait. Seriously? Homemade clothing? Major coolness and inner-pride. Dude.
The skirts turned out so cute! I love seeing the projects in action – thanks so much for sharing. Compliments to the young sewers, please!
Amie! Thanks for your reply. I just lu-uh-uve your book so much. Thank you for all of your wonderful inspiration for the younger crowd. I have looked at many sewing and craft books for kids but yours my fave. It is really accessible and very enticing. I really like that you allowed your projects to be real and messy and not perfect because that is the way it goes. That is the messy beauty of it all. Cheers!
Love it! That had to have been so fun for them!
