Hi Carrie, I’m retiring next year and recently realized I’ve buried any creativity because of work, family obligations, health issues, etc. Dad died and I wanted to make a quilt with some of his shirts, started looking and found the FQS site.This made me realize that I just need to get IT back (the spark)! Thanks for the reminder, and thanks for sharing with others one of the greatest gifts you’ll ever give your kids – they just don’t realize it yet. Your passion is showing!

I could use a boost with my creative juices. You see, I have all this fabric I’ve bought starting in about 1990 and much more recenlty and need to cut into it and turn it into some warm quilts. It is wonderful to give a little direction to the creative minds of my children when they want to make something in the holidays but need a starting point. So what a great idea your book is- also as a teacher I also am on the lookout for crafty ideas that children can make with the ideas scaffolded so they know where to start.

Inspiration! When my girls were little, they were my muses, all my creativity was center around them. They learned well they being creative as they are inspired my their children. Which leaves me struggling to redefine my creativity by finding new inspiration. .

I think I am afraid of creativity. I tend to follow patterns and agonize over fabric selection if it is much different from my pattern. But I believe this book could broaden my horizons and open new worlds for me. Thanks for the opportunity to win.

Learned about you from Shea Henderson’s blog (Empty Bobbin Studio) and this is EXACTLY what I needed to find! 2015 is all about me learning new things to figure out what I want to be when I grow up (cuz 42 isn’t grown up yet, right?). I took an education class in creativity. I’d love to see what you have to say that is different and also a reminder from that class a few years ago.
